Dr. Rolando Mora Retana

Professional Life

Dr. Rolando Mora is a graduate of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Costa Rica. Then he started a post-grade in Ophthalmology with the University of Costa Rica where he graduated in 2004.

In the years 2004 and 2005 held the Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract y Refractive Surgery in México with Dr. Arturo Chayet in CODET VISION INSTITUTE and with Dr. David Schanzlin at Shiley Eye Center, UCSD, USA.

Doctor Mora is an active member of the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAO), Asociación Costarricense de Oftalmología (ACO), American Academy of Opthalmology (AAO) y The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).

Currently, he is Professor of the post-grade of Ophthalmology at the Universidad de Costa Rica and is conducting several research projects with senior residents of the specialty.
